Choose Your Ride Campaign

I like the poster for the Labor Day “Choose Your Ride Campaign”. I’m not sure if this campaign in only in Texas or all states.

Religion is like a penis.

Found it in Tumblr...

Religion is like a penis.

It’s fine to have one.
It’s fine to be proud of it.
But please don’t whip it out in public n start waving it around.
And PLEASE don’t try to shove it down my children’s throats.

Quote: Inspiration

Here is the secret of inspiration:

Tell yourself that thousands and tens of thousands of people, not very intelligent and certainly no more intelligent than the rest of us, have mastered problems as difficult as those that now baffle you.

104 days sober…

This is not a new territory for me but it is a completely new experience.

It’s strange to look back. I guess it takes a clear and sober mind to see that those days when I thought alcohol was making my days more fun and pain free, it was actually covering the insanity, anguish, the need to fit into unnecessary places and the anxiety I felt when I was around strangers.

I don’t know what to expect now. I actually try to keep my expectations low and be more realistic. I am disappointed at some people that told me they will support me and be with me in this journey… They didn’t invest a minute of their life on me. I will not pretend that I’m not hurt, but I know that I will be better and I don’t need people like them in my new life. I have what I need for now, a small group of great people that I know care about me. I will try to be more careful and have better standards when choosing friends and dates from now on.

Stop drinking was not hard. The hardest part of quitting has been the fact that I had to quit many other things in my life. I know that I don’t think in the same way I was thinking 100 days ago. Conversations with drunk or hangover friends are not fun anymore. Unimportant calls or text messages in the middle of the night are not welcome now. Happy hours are not part of my life. I don’t have the need to be in places I don’t feel comfortable just because the drinks are cheap, or around strangers with nothing in common but a glass in hand. My weekends have 48 sober hours now, and I want to enjoy and remember every one of them.

Writing does help…. I’m not so blue anymore! :)

Drawing: iGnored -raw version

This is one of my intents to create a horror vacui ….a very colorful one.

It was fun to draw it,.. I guess I have too many things in my mind. I want to do a digital version of it. Maybe someday…:)

OK, this is just another drawing… to kill the melancholy… to reset my mind. Whatever.

I called it “Reverse Psychology I” (one) ….I will probably add something else later,… but who knows!

Uniqueness

Celebrate your uniqueness.

Your life was never meant to be lived like everyone else. You don‘t look the same, you don‘t sound the same, and your personality is special. Your deep-held values are unique. Even your laugh sets you apart. Throwing that away just for the sake of looking and living like everyone else is one of the cruelest things that you can ever do – it will always prevent you from fully living your life. Instead, champion the things that make you unique. Celebrate them.
